Our MissionThe Gallery Walk is dedicated to providing valuable avenues of opportunity for serious artists who want to exhibit and sell their work. We are also committed to helping charitable organizations in their fundraising endeavors. Our carefully orchestrated exhibitions, studio tours and web "Galleries" offer our patrons the choice to donate a portion of the proceeds to an affiliated charity. About Us The Gallery Walk was born from a simple idea in 2001 by Rosemary Zabal, an accomplished artist committed to making a difference in the lives of others. After surveying her thirty year career in marketing and sales promotion, devoting a lifetime to her artistic talent, she established The Gallery Walk to help both fellow artists and charitable organizations. From 2003 - 2005, Zabal served as President of SALUTE to Women in The Arts, a non-profit organization with a 30 year history of supporting artists in the Northern New Jersey area. Under her leadership and organizational skills, SALUTE membership grew by 70%. Zabal established the SALUTE Scholarship Fund in 2004 to recognize and encourage young students in their artistic endeavors. She has also been instrumental in organizing several exhibitions for SALUTE, most noteworthy, the 2003 Women's History Month exhibition held at the Bergen Museum of Art and Science, which received media coverage from The Bergen Record, including a cover shot in the "GO" section of the paper. Zabal was also editor of The SALUTE to Women in the Arts bi-monthly newsletter, which is distributed to all Salute members and art associations throughout New Jersey. Zabal is both a member of The National Association of Women Artists, in addition to The Art Students League in NYC. In an effort to raise money for charitable organizations, Zabal has contributed much of her time to the Women's Fund of New Jersey, United Cerebral Palsy of NYC, Planned Parenthood, West Bergen Mental Health, The Jesse Banks Foundation and Ramapo College among others. The collections of the accomplished Artists represented on The Gallery Walk have been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries throughout the world. The Gallery Walk and the artists represented here share our philosophy and are committed to bringing this concept to its fullest fruition .
